Contents

Introduction: This fragment is a single leaf containing a page of the third Notitia Episcopatuum (ed. Parthey 1866). The Notitiae Episcopatuum are the lists and hierarchical ranks of the metropolitan and suffragan bishoprics of an Eastern church, in this case that of Constantinople. This copy also presents the scholia and variants of the Codex Farnesianus, as they were printed by J. Freher in his edition of J. Leunclavius' Jus graeco-romanum (Frankfurt 1596), tom. I p. 92. The fragment was acquired by Constantin von Tischendorf and bought from his heirs by Cambridge University Library in 1876. Dr Matteo Di Franco

Beta is bilobate, with distant eyelets, lambda is wide and developed below the writing line, xi is not very evident and almost a vertical line, pi has the closed shape, the descending stroke of rho has a small hook to the left, tau is curved.

Initials and numerals in red ink.
