Title tooled in gold on the spine, 'Duke of Norfolk's Household Expense at Stoke', and the Pembroke College manuscript number ('300') also tooled in gold over the fleuron in the top panel.
History
Copied over the course of nearly an entire calendar year, the dates provided by the opening rubric, the latter part of which was completed by a different hand, and including the addition of accounts on f. 1v for 29 September 1527.
Provenance and Acquisition
The circumstances of the manuscript's acquisition by Pembroke College are not known. It is not known to have been at the college earlier than its binding (which is similar to others in the collection that were rebound around this time) and must have arrived by 1891 at the latest (recorded in Schenkl, p. 34).
